LAUREN ZOLIT

       From finger painting in kindergarten to Drawing and Painting in my sophomore year of high school, art has always been an important part of my life as a means to express myself and be creative, something that is sometimes restricted in other school courses. This year I decided to take on a new form of art- photography. Throughout this course, I have found my biggest photography inspiration to be Cindy Sherman, as her photographs are intended to shock, yet they are still beautiful. However, one of my biggest inspirations in life has always been my older sister, who today manages to balance her activities in creative arts with the challenging course load that she has taken on at college. 

 

       This site contains several of my works from both this year in Intro to Photography and Advanced Photography, as well as works from my sophomore year in Drawing and Painting. Creating this site has not only allowed me to review my works from this year and previous years, but also has allowed me to reflect on my mistakes and growth as an artist. Enjoy!
